The unit will come in two disk sizes - a 20GB and a 40GB version (the H320 and H340 respectively). This unit has the ability to act as a USB 2 host, which
allows you to transfer images from your digical camera (or a card reader) directly into the device. This is going to be a very big item
in the future for digital photographers as it will solve a lot of storage problems out in the field.
There are several drawbacks to this device (but this is version 1), those being:
- most cameras are a slow USB 1.1 (battery drain)
- no RAW file support
- doesn't accept cards (yet)
- you need to carry a transfer cable
Some of the key features of this device are; 2" LCD display, MP3 player, USB 2.0 speed. Obviously the biggest advantage to this family of device is the that you can move photos out of your camera out in the field without a computer. This is going to be a must-have family of device in the personal technology space.
